Upon World Health Organization’s announcement in March 2020 that the world is facing the COVID-19 epidemic, and upon the International Mone- tary Fund‘s announcement that the global economy is facing a major re- cession, the Sultanate’s government modified the broad guidelines of the 10th Five-Year Development Plan to prepare an emergency plan (up to June 2020), the economic stimulation plan and pave the way for the future vision (June 2020-December 2021). ً
